A typical day

All ages of children are welcomed together:

From 8:30: play and the first workshops are offered to the children. The older children should arrive by 9:00, and the younger ones by 9:30 at the latest. In both cases, parents are invited to come in and take their time before leaving.

9:00-9:45: circle time, with songs, the speaking stick, review of the date

9:45-10:30: workshop 1 (or 2) for each individual group of 8 children: artistic activities

10:30-11:15: workshop 2 (or 1) for each individual group of 8 children: motor activities (running, yoga, games at the park, weather permitting…)

11:15-11:45: games/activities (books, puzzles, puppets, Legos, drawing, modeling clay…)

11:45-12:00: storytime

12:00: lunch for all

12:30-14:00: naptime

14:00: scaled wakeup; games/activities

15:00-15:15: songs

15:15-16:00: workshop 1 (or 2) for each individual group of 8 children: cognitive activities (cooking, musical instrument, painting…)

16:00-16:45: workshop 2 (or 1) for each individual group of 8 children: structured activities (connecting, circling, pasting, coloring…)

16:45-17:00: (end of the day; all ages together): storytime

17:00: snack

17:15-19:00 games/activities and departures (communication with team regarding the events of the day – activities, meals, sleep).

Meals (lunch and snack) are provided by an outside supplier specialized in childhood nutrition. The menus are designed by nutritionists and are composed of 80% fresh products, of which 20% are organic.

These are also opportunities to remind the children of major principles for hygiene and life: washing one’s hands before a meal, setting the table, helping to clear the table, brushing one’s teeth following a meal, washing one’s hands after using the toilet, etc.

Outside trips are scheduled in accordance with the weather. These are opportunities for the children to observe the world around them by going to the park, the bakery, etc.

The school is open during all school vacations (with the exception of the month of August, official holidays, and between Christmas and New Year’s Day), with normal hours throughout the year. During vacation periods, only open workshops and playtimes are scheduled, with all children grouped together regardless of age. These periods are also filled with numerous outings: to the theater, museums, libraries, private recreation centers…

The school is also open to outside students of less than 6 years of age on Wednesdays and during school vacations.
